McKenzie Seed – Gold Rush Zucchini

Gold Rush Zucchini is a straight and smooth fruit that grows 18-20 cm (7-8″) in length. Gold Rush boasts golden yellow skin and a wonderfully tender and creamy-white flesh. The high yields of this delicious zucchini are tasty in salads, breads, baked, or stir-fried.

Plant Type: Vegetable

Flavor: Succulent & tender

Preparation Ideas: Try replacing thinly sliced zucchini strips (with skin on) for noodles in lasagna.

Days to Germination: 5 to 12 days

Days to Maturity: 49 days

Planting Depth: 2.5 cm (1″)

Instructions: After all danger of frost, in a sunny location, sow a few seeds spaced evenly over a hill 9 to 12 inches tall and 2 feet across. When the plants are 3 inches tall, thin by cutting all but the 3 strongest seedlings per hill. To avoid weeding, mulch heavily around plants and in the rows.

Suggestions: To obtain the best harvest possible, pick this variety when fruit is young.
