Early Russian Cucumbers were especially developed for prairie growing conditions. It is a very prolific variety that is superb for all types of pickles and relishes. The short cucumbers are light green with black spines.

Preparation Ideas: Use in wraps, or make a sandwich with mayo, salt and pepper.

Days to Germination: 8 to 10 days

Days to Maturity: 50 to 70 days

Planting Depth: 1.3 cm (1/2″)

Instructions: Sow seed directly in soil once all danger of frost has passed. Soil must be fertile and rich in compost. May be started indoors before last frost. Roots should be disturbed as little as possible while transplanting.

Suggestions: Plant at 3 week intervals up to midsummer for fresh cucumbers all season. Keep fruits picked.
