Tendersweet Long Hybrid Carrots produce very long 20-25 cm (8-10″) roots. These carrots grow uniform in size with superior taste and color, making them a perfect home garden option.



Plant Type: Vegetable

Flavor: Sweet and crunchy

Preparation Ideas: Clean, peel and slice carrots. Bring 3 cm (1″) of salted water to boil in a saucepan. Add the carrot slices. Return to boil, then reduce the heat and cover the pan. Cook until just tender, but not soft. This will take about 10-15 minutes. Drain and eat hot. For extra flavor add salt, pepper and butter.

Days to Germination: 10 to 14 days

Days to Maturity: 75 days

Planting Depth: 6 mm (1/4″)

Instructions: Sow in early spring in well cultivated soil. Uniform moisture is critical. Seedlings should be thinned to approximately 5 cm (2”) apart for optimal root formation. Sowings of carrot seed can be repeated every 2 weeks until mid-summer.

Suggestions: Repeat sowings every 2 weeks until mid-summer for a continuous supply of young carrots.
