Gold Marie is a Romano type runner bean. It grows high yielding 2.1-2.7 m (7-9”) vines. Its tender and flattened golden yellow 23 cm (9″) pods are delicious. This variety also has resistance to Bean Common Mosaic Virus (BCMV).

Preparation Ideas: Rinse beans under water. Dry and cut tips off both ends. Toss beans with salt, pepper and olive oil. Place beans in a single layer (do not overlap), on foil lined baking sheet. Bake at 350 F preheated oven for approximately 25 minutes or until cooked to desired tenderness.

Instructions: Sow seeds when the soil is warm and all danger of frost is past. Pick early and often to encourage production. Sow every 2 weeks until 8 weeks before fall frost.

Suggestions: Avoid working around beans when wet; this may spread diseases. When weeding, hoe gently because beans are shallow-rooted. Mulch plants only after thinning.
