Siberian Kale is a hardy and fast growing variety that originates in Russia. Huge, blue-green, slightly curled leaves have a mildly sweet flavour. The non-heading plants spread 30-40 cm (12-16”) and provide a bountiful crop. Baby leaves can be harvested in as soon as 25 days.

Instructions: Sow seed direct into the garden after danger of frost has passed. For an earlier crop, start indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Harvest baby leaves in 25 days.

Suggestions: Make several pickings during the season for abundant crop before hot weather. Sow again in midsummer for a fall crop. A light fall frost makes the pleasant flavor of the leaves even better. Bake them for tasty chips.
