Free Tree Program

NM Bluebird Fund program offers discount for trees

Ornamental fruits are a great source of food for songbirds that winter in Manitoba, they provide bird habitat in the summer, and they also make beautiful additions to the garden! To help stop the decline of these birds Nature Manitoba wants to see more of these trees in yards across the city. The Nature Manitoba Bluebird Fund makes it easy and affordable.

Step 1: Have a look at our list of eligible trees below to see which one suits your yard and space

Step 2: Phone (204-943-9029) or email Nature Manitoba and they will send you a claim form

Step 3: Fill out the claim form bring it with you when you come down to Ron Paul Garden Centre

Step 4: Select your tree and enjoy an instant 50% discount when you pay for your tree (up to $55)

Step 5: Hang onto your receipt and take great care of your new tree! If your tree is still alive after 3 years contact the NM office and the NM Bluebird Fund will reimburse you for the other half of your tree (up to another $55)

Since most of the eligible trees cost around $90 plus tax, the NM Bluebird Fund essentially gives you a free tree.
